Camel Club

Hi Folks.

 

Thanks to all of you who have contacted us to ask where are the Camels.  Well, its been an extended holiday for us with a few unexpected changes. Gillian and I have changed jobs, changed Emirates and changed home and are now residents in Dubai.

Moving Emirate has presented a few challenges, Camel wise, not least getting in rehearsals with everybody Abu Dhabi based. Inevitably, this has meant we have lost a few personnel.  So its a fond farewell to Federico and to Troy. They are still around and we hope, as with other former Camels, we will get together and jam or gig again as circumstances and schedules allow. 

 

Once a Camel always a Camel.

However, there are always upsides to every challenge  and in our case we have been fortunate to meet a whole bunch of very talented musicians who have wanted to join the Camels.   Thanks to everyone who has taken the time and effort to contact us and audition.  Its great to know we have talent in depth to choose from. Special thanks to Steve, Mac and to Adam. Three excellent guitar players and really nice blokes as well. welcome to the Camel Club and I am looking forward to some excellent gigs in the future.

With that in mind, we have been preparing a set list for 2018 and are ready to rock on with tentative dates in March April and May.  Once we get conformations we will post them here and on Facebook. 

​

I can't wait to see all our Camel Club friends and fans and to make new ones as we once more play in Abu Dhabi and also take a on a bigger presence in Dubai.
